I just gave you a fact - Houston vs #25 Cincy drew flies. Gnats. Sorry you seem wedded to the silly idea that Houston is some kind of draw compared to Oklahoma. Good Lord.
But instead of going up against literally nothing (like Houston did against Oklahoma) ...
Didn't I just make a post about the importance of context in looking at ratings? Yes I did. But any way you slice it, 261k is peanuts, especially for an alleged important draw like Houston.
But if you want to look at it your way, sure - that's another good reason not to pay much attention to the OU/UH ratings, especially Houston's non-existent contribution to them.
And at this point Houston was a 2-3 team. Duh, poor ratings.
And when Houston played OU, Houston wasn't ranked, wasn't even in the AP "others receiving votes" category. No hype about them at all.
And yet ratings were pretty darn good. Hint: "Oklahoma".

They have 4 days to get 4 games in. World Series starts Oct 22nd.
Hopefully the Astros finish the yanks off before game 7.

I have no skin in this cat fight but I wonder why a Texas fan is defending a school that Texas purposely left behind when the Big 12 formed? You've defended TCU and Baylor as well.
I have no issues with UH but I definitely think it's fair to say they are not the main draw when you look at their attendance and TV ratings.
People much smarter than all of us have determined they don't add value to a P5.

Nobody ever said they were the main draw. The claim was made by the USF fan that they were no better than a CUSA or Sun Belt school. Even Alabama doesn't draw very well vs. CUSA and Sun Belt schools.
And while you have "no skin" I seem to recall you taking pot shots at UH (for whatever reason) whenever there's an opportunity.

No, UT determined that they did not have value. That is why they are not in the Big 12-2.

This listing of 10 random games is useless, without knowing what other games it was up against.
Apples and oranges comparison.
CJ, I think we all get that. E.g., it's probably the case that even though Texas vs Oklahoma was obviously a big game, it drew more than LSU vs Florida because the latter faced far tougher competition and was on ESPN not an OTA.
But still, these are the 10 highest-rated games of the season, and personally, despite all the whys and wherefores, I like knowing this.
So sue me.
So... "for entertainment purposes only?" (No wagering!)

SEC has announced that LSU-Alabama will be an afternoon game on CBS. No doubt it will be one of the most watched games of the season anyway.

oh yeah- without a doubt it'll be very high up there. Only way it isn't #1 IMO is if Arkansas pulled the all time upset of Alabama w/o Tua.

Have you seen what the other Big Ten and Big 12 games are for that Saturday? They all suck.
Michigan at Maryland and that's on ABC
Rutgers at Illinois
Northwestern at Indiana
Kansas State at Kansas
TCU at Oklahoma State
PAC-12 matchups aren't too bad Utah at Washington, Oregon at USC.

Looking at the SEC and ACC as well, rough week TV wise. Only the Cocktail Party is the only big game that week. Lots of crappy games. Bad week for TV. No Alabama. No LSU. No Ohio State. No Penn State. No Oklahoma. No Texas. Clemson is playing a FCS team.

ABC primetime a likely AAC game with SMU @ Memphis. Would be a no brainer had Memphis beaten Temple earlier this year.

I'm shocked we didn't hear from Fox's blowhard Mulvihill this weekend...
lets look-
WVU/Oklahoma- down 50%
Baylor/Oklahoma St- down 30%
Iowa St/Texas Tech on FS1- down 51%
yikes. This weekend will be good with Ohio St/Wisconsin(though with the Wisconsin loss, not quite as good), but then next weekend is Maryland/Michigan.

Ohio St.-Wisconsin
Auburn-LSU
Notre Dame-Michigan
All 3 have a shot at the top 10. Ohio ST.-Nebraska will definitely get pushed out.
Oklahoma will be pushed at KSU and Penn St. will be pushed at Mich. St. Lots of good games. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia (off) and Florida (off) have easy weeks among the top 10.

The thinking at ESPN/ABC is revealed in which games they have on 6-day hold...
From https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2019/...ek-10.html
Quote:ESPN has exercised a six-day option on: Miami at Florida State.
The game will kick off at either 3:30 p.m. on ABC or ESPN, or 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
A decision will be made after the games of Oct. 26th...
Which games [also on hold] are up against Miami/FSU? Here are the other options being considered by ESPN/ABC:
SMU at Memphis - 3:30 pm ABC/ESPN or 7:30 pm ABC
3:30 pm ABC/ESPN: TCU at Oklahoma St.
Possible combinations:
3:30 pm - TCU/Oklahoma St on one channel and either SMU/Memphis or Miami/FSU on the other
7:30 pm - either SMU/Memphis or Miami/FSU on ABC
So there you have it. The primetime ABC game will be either SMU/Memphis or Miami/FSU. PERIOD.
