College Football Week 1
I figured I'd start this up for non UC games.

OT, but I was surprised to see this:

Former Elder quarterback Peyton Ramsey loses starting job to begin season at Indiana.

RE: College Football Week 1
So, SEC Ole Miss is a 6 point dog at Memphis but Puke 12 UCLA is only a 2.5 dog at Nippert?

Dook 35 point dog at Bama. I'll take Bama.

VMI is a 40.5 dog at Marshall? I'll take VMI.

Upset alert, Fresno St is a 13.5 dog at USC.

4 AAC teams get started on Thursday night. But besides UC the only remotely interesting one is Tulane -2 at home v. Fla Intl.

Friday has a pretty nice slate:

- Tulsa gets 22.5 @ MichSt.

- USF gets 13 @ at home against Wisconsin. Nice opportunity for USF to show if they are going to be AAC contenders.

Sat. picks up with:

- ECU gets 16.5 @ NC St.

- The aforementioned Memphis favored by 5.5 at home over Ole Miss.

- SMU gets 2.5 @ Arkansas St. Nice test for SMU.

Finally, on Sunday:

- Houston getting 23.5 @ Oklahoma. I'd be tempted by the Coogs and the points.

However unlikely some may be, the AAC has an opportunity to make a statement this week against a lot of P5 competition.

RE: College Football Week 1
Tulane (-2) beat up on Butch Davis' FIU team 42-14. I've never been as down on Tulane as an AAC member as a lot of folks. There's a lot of talent down there and not all of them can go SEC. I think they can be pretty solid if they found the right coach. They just might have in Willie Fritz.

I'm not sure what to make of USF at this point, but the USF/Wisconsin game could be an interesting one. I'd love to see Tulsa shock MSU, but I'm not sure Tulsa has the goods to shock anybody either way.

USF getting absolutely pounded. Their offense looks like the outro of the Benny Hill Show.

Wake Forest 31

End of 3rd Q

For those that get the ACC network, this has been a back and forth great game.

Did they hire Tubbs when I wasn't looking?

Their new OC brought some impressive credentials but that was all around ugly. I guess they deserve more than one game, but USF sure looks to be going in the wrong direction.

The Bulls have lost 7 in a row after starting 7-0 last year.

Charlie Strong's ship is sailing in a path at Usf reminiscent of Lyle's at Tennessee. Not good.

USF looked really bad last night. I'm being kind with that statement.

Appears Purdue has the curse of Butch on them.

Brohm calls last second TO to ice the kicker. He missed.

Given the second chance courtesy of Jeffy, the kid nails it.

I would make some snarky P6 comment right about now... but since we had those idiotic performances by Tulsa and USF last night, I wont.
