A few years ago I used to manage a heavy equipment manufacturing company here in Louisville. We would take equipment to McCormick Place in Chicago for a trade show and the Chinese would crawl all over it taking pictures.

A year or two later they are back with a copy of our machine. We tried to take pictures and like most Asian companies they refused to let us.

The next year when we brought the new design to the show. We stopped the Chinese from taking pictures. They were pissed. They said it was their right...lol. We told them you don’t have any rights here...GTFO

That just proves that they're not that bright. All they had to do was to buy the new model and copy it to their hearts content. No pictures needed.

The only winning position for the Chinese is to wait out a Trump defeat in 2020. If they do fold and concede to Trumps demands (at least some of them)...it is because they think that will not happen or not worth the risk to further damage the Chinese economy and vast starvation of its underclass population that depends upon us for FOOD. They have about a year before they get themselves into serious trouble. We hold the cards. If Trump is re-elected and the tariffs stay in place?... There is NO way the Chinese can continue their current path very long. My guess is they see that Trump is a good bet to win. They are smart enough to know it is better for them to concede sooner than later.
