GCU's Oscar Frayer? CSUB's Taze Moore? NMSU's Johnny McCants? CBU's Bul Kuol? or maybe someone new like Chicago State's Jace Colley?

I know this would seem biased, but based on just raw athleticism, Oscar is by far and away the top guy in the WAC. The issue is that he seems to just check out at times and lacks the motivation to be the top guy on the team, let alone in the conference.

Agreeing with Dan here. From a purely athletic ability standpoint, Freyer has amazing ups and knows how to finish. I won’t forget that insane dunk he had at Illinois when he was above the rim and just threw the ball down into the basket. That made sports center. I hope to see more of that Freyer.

That is a great list. I am going to look forward to seeing Colley. He looks very impressive.

McCants was last season what Frayer was 2 seasons ago. It was like O either lost his bounce, or desire to come in off the 3 point line last season. I mean, he was outrebounded by Trey Drechsel by almost 3.5/game during conference play for crying out loud.

With his buddy Damarci now gone, I'm not confident Frayer is on a physical of mental trajectory to return to his 2017-18 form. I'd love to be wrong, of course, but my money'd be on McCants to be the guy in the WAC.

Four years of being coached by Dan Majerle would take its toll on any ones soul.

Coming into this season, Johnny McCants has proven to be the most "intimidating" dunker. McCants is not a better athlete than Frayer but he is more physically imposing. Frayer is a high flying "break away" dunker. McCants is a thunderous "in traffic" power dunker...

Both Johnny and Oscar are exciting players, but I would put Carlos Johnson on a list before Frayer. Though not as tall as McCants or lanky as Frayer, Los has shown the ability to throw down impressive dunks both on the break and in traffic.

I would agree with this... Johnson doesn't leap as high as Frayer but he does have quick hops; he gets off the ground quickly. Add to the fact that his is solidly built (215-lbs) for a guard makes him a force around the rim.

Pure raw athleticism would be Frayer. He’s been the most athletic guy in the WAC for the last 2 years. He reminds me of Banja Sy, so much athleticism and talent but an inconsistent player. McCants has had the most electrifying, momentum changing dunks since his freshman year. Things will not be any different this year.
