Here is the Hustle Belt preview:

https://www.hustlebelt.com/niu-huskies/2...e-redbirds

Dave Drury does a good job of highlighting the ISU strengths, which is why they are getting a lot of respect for this game and the season.

His prediction is 31 - 17 NIU, which is consistent with the spread many have here.

Hey 7 you have the exact same prediction - are you Dave Drury? haha

BTW, I saw an article saying that the ISU coach expects to see Bowers at QB. I wonder if he knows something we don't?

Even though there are a lot of variables for this game the Huskies have the superior talent and depth. I believe that Hammock will have the Huskies ready to go from play 1.

ISU- 20
NIU- 34

My opinion only, you are not giving an FCS top 20 team sufficient respect. ISU is talented and a damn good football team.

It was -4 a few days ago if you dont like -6.

NIU offense could have been called the worst in FBS last year, they have a new coach, and they lost Scharping and Sutton.

Those 3 factors scare bookmakers.

I agree. They are BIG, bigger than us. If they can move we will have our hands full.

Sorry but ISU doesn’t scare me. Most of our boys are battle tested against top tier competition. Our boys will be ready to impress under the Hammock regime 04-rock 04-cheers

NIU - 24
ISU - 10

1st half will be close NIU will pull away in the 2nd half. ISU a good team with talented FBS transfers, but NIU defense will wear them down.

Why is the MVCF that good? NDSU, SDSU and UNI are all basically FBS teams. ISU is good too.

UNI and Iowa State (#21) tied, going into OT.
