Thus, the sell out

I doubt there will be a sellout. Ole Miss will probably bring less than half the crowd they usually do. We'll probably have our 40k or so fans. I'd guess 45,000 or so total.
I wish this was true. we will be lucky to have 45k in the Liberty Bowl Saturday. 11am kickoffs are a difficult sell and Ole Miss is bringing HALF of their normal group of 12-15k.

Put it this way, here is what we know:

1- 22,000 or fewer season ticket sold.
2- 10,000 or fewer Ole Miss fans attending
3- 4,000 or fewer Students attending
---------------
36,000 tickets "bought" before August 1.

How many single game tickets have Tiger fans purchased? We don't know, You seem to think it will be Over 20,000 (thats 20,000 fans buying $55 or more tickets....

#2 and #3 are pure conjecture.

But educated guesses. I think they are pretty close.

Unless you want upper rows in upper level buy season tickets. Only individual game tickets will be upper corners.

That is simply not true. You can find decent seats in most locations.

You can: FOR SEASON TICKETS 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS. You don’t honestly think they have started selling individual game tickets in August?

Heard on the radio yesterday it was reported we had sold close to 25,000 season tickets and Ole Miss had requested fewer than 3,800 tickets.

Stats also said the last trip to Memphis Ole Miss only brought about 7,000 which debunks those who said at the time the rebs filled half the stadium.

In this column today, Calkins says that Ole Miss only requested 3,250 tickets. Ouch.

There will be a bunch more of their fans at the game than that.

Not many more. Most of the Ole Miss folks I know are sitting this one out.

I did not just dream up these numbers(they are probably high)

Put it this way, here is what we know:

2- 10,000 or fewer Ole Miss fans attending
3- 4,000 or fewer Students attending

We need over 20k single game tickets sold (not to Ole Miss fans) at $50+ each to reach a sellout

What is interesting is that the ones expecting a sellout are setting yourself up for a disappointment.... I on the other hand will not be disappointed and will be especially happy to be wrong. 03-idea
