Great news. Love to hear this.

Been following DeAngelo’s career since he left Memphis. Great NFL player. One season with team record in TDs. But more importantly, he seems like a good Christian, citizen and Father to his children. If you are that, you are a good man.

Now we need others who hit it big to donate. DRose (should be able to match Penny’s $1M publicly), Bruce, Lynch, A. Miller and even the rookies should do $10K or so just to repay the University for how it helped their career. Some are Coach oriented but I guarantee you if we make the F4 or New Years Day Bowl they will be calling asking for tickets.

The people that "should" are those that complain about what isn't occurring or achieved.

You know how political extremists demand, "if you don't like it, leave" toward people wanting improvements in the conditions of this country? They are deceitful in limiting choices they attempt to impose on the discontented. They don't want people making the third choice. They fear it, they want their opponents to leave, so they omit it.

The 3 choices in this city, in this country, anywhere, are: 1) like it and stay, 2) don't like it and leave, and 3) don't like it, stay, and improve things.

Never forget the third choice. Those that complain, should be doing so constructively, and should be giving back in some way to show they don't want to complain. They want to end the conditions of their complaints.

So, want more to be achieved with Memphis academics like I am? Contribute. Want more to be achieved with Memphis athletics? Contribute. Want better labs, or lockers? Contribute. Don't just complain.

Most of those alum athletes, though, aren't visibly complaining about the state of where the university is.
