You're thinking of a fifth-year Senior but he has already burned a red-shirt year thanks to Auburn. He is now burning a transfer year also basically thanks to Auburn. He has three years left to make good. You get five years tops unless you're dealing with some medical issues surrounding your sport. This is the one thing that the NCAA is lenient in when dealing with all players as long as it is presented correctly.

It's still possible. The NCAA has granted a 6th year for someone to get their 4 playing years, even without injury. Player will need to stay in good standing and graduate on time, then petition the NCAA. It's not guaranteed, but it's possible.

This is one of the kids I immediately felt bad about when Norvell news broke. Auburn, Miamai, Memphis......anyone know if this kid will stick it out at Memphis?

Probably so. He won some type of scout team reward at a banquet.

Given the fact that nobody has decommitted or transferred it appears that the players and recruits are all very happy with the hire.

We are OFFICIALLY RB U....Our RB's are breaking records; being spotlighted on a National Platform; Winning Awards and getting drafted....Where else is there to be 01-wingedeagle

Ah don't be so dramatic. Kids leaving during a coaching change would be the norm. It's impressive that no grumblings of transfer have come up. Asa Martin transferring would make a lot of sense. Not like he has Memphis ties. Glad all signs point to him staying.

It's an embarrassment of riches at RB. Except I'm not embarrassed.

Don't be an ass. It wasn't a question directed at you, but rather those with knowledge on the topic.

Gotcha....and NOT being an ASS....I generally like your post, however, the constant pessimism only wears those down that rather look at circumstances from a MORE positive perspective instead of "The sky is ALWAYS" falling shiitake....Just chill

Telling of our times. Too much of this mentality: if you agree with me you're 100% good and if we disagree you're 100% bad. It's goofy. I can't be all positive or all negative. I'm a realist. Sometimes the outlook is good. Sometimes bad.

I'm asking whether or not a kid will transfer. Not any kid. A sophomore who named us as his 3rd school in 9 months. Auburn burned a year of eligibility by playing him in 5 games. I get this transfer reasoning. Then he went to Miami in Spring and left in mid-June. He has a history of transferring.

It's a message board. Viable discussion. Don't read into it as for or against your agenda/line-of-thinking/etc

Thanks for liking my posts. I, personally, enjoy most all posts whether I agree with them or not, so long as they're not dismissive or rude. We're all Tigers here. GTG!

Edit: P.S. My question shouldn't be offensive to you. I still have it out there. Not because it rials you up, but rather because.....I'm curious. And I like your movie reference.
