Coastal Carolina
EMU is a 5.5 point underdog. I was surprised when I saw that. They've got a new HC, new DC, new OC, new QB, and lost a few starters as transfers. But I like EMU playing as an underdog. Hope our team uses that as motivation.

Wooden, I think where you read that made a typo. We are a 5.5 point favorite. http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foot...n-michigan

ESPN FPI does give CCU a 52% to win though, so by their metric, we are a very slight underdog.

Frank/'Nickle, I think the confusion might be how point spreads are quoted in sports betting.

If EMU is -5.5 points, it means to bet on EMU to win, the better GIVES 5.5 points. So anyone betting on Coastal Carolina adds 5.5 points to whatever C.C. scores.

So EMU is almost a one TD, with missed PAT (no jokes, please) favorite.

Yep, I misread that. EMU is a 5.5 pt favorite but only has a 48% chance of winning. That makes a lot of sense...not.
