You're just a dumb*ss p*ssy who needs Memphis more than we need you.
We've got some boogeymen. I've seen them on my Ring. I still love my city and my hood doe.

Agree. I used to use the "never seen any random acts of violence" line too. Then I was at the Move It Memphis 4-miler last year and heard police responding to the random gunning down of Phil Trenary. Got to be alert.
But saying you don't have to worry about getting shot in Mississippi is a bit naive too - especially on the heels of the Walmart thing.

RE: Tigers vs Ole Miss by the numbers
To try and get this conversation back to topic, CBS Sports is doing a game by game prediction of every Tiger game this season. The ole miss game they predicted a Tiger win 38-24.

My main concern for this team is will Brady be better under pressure this season and will we be able to hang on to big leads after teams make their adjustments. I’m expecting 3 maybe 4 losses. The AAC is catching up to us and UCF.

We will see. White progressed throughout the season. He was very tentative at the beginning of the year. A fart could have knocked him over. I guess probably worried about getting hurt again. Seemed to do better as the season progressed. Still don't know if he can really throw the long ball that well.
I expect that defense will be a lot better with the new DC.

Amen
Any Memphis fan who joins in on the racist bashing of Memphis is a disgrace
Adopting that Mississippi style attitude hurts, and is indeed unrealistic, in the sense that big cities everywhere have some issues. But those piling on their University city and all it has to offer because of suburban adoption of bashing has no place
Then they whine when people point out the near last place metrics a bastion of progress like Mississippi endures.

Getting back to the statistics, I'm not sure how true of a comparison they are, since they primarily comparing our playing in the AAC to OM's playing in the SEC West.

RE: Tigers vs Ole Miss by the numbers
Sometimes we overthink these
While Mississippi is certainly not Alabama, they generally have higher level recruits than Memphis
Last year’s numbers mean a little bit but not as much as a second year starter at QB and coaches etc. We have had the better team the last few years and a better coach. This is not 2010 when you could see the physical difference on the field, our guys being lesser than even CUSA opponents
We play well, we win. We don’t, they win. That is the biggest difference between a team with solid recruits and a Tulsa. Not taking a shot at Tulsa just that we can win games against them even if not playing well
For Mississippi, win or lose, they will really struggle against LSU and company regardless, as would we

I am with you, except one qualifier on that last sentence. No one knows what we would do against SEC opponents if we faced them on a level field with SEC resources.
Not you, but many simpleton SEC fans can't seem to understand this point that we are always the systemic underdog. They say "yeah but you don't have to play this schedule every week". Or, "even our worst teams recruit better than your best teams". Never recognizing the conference welfare program that sometimes is all they have going for them.

$100 says you have a blow up doll in your closet that tells you what to do.
And you'll be crying like the night hillery lost when our great president is re-elected.
Now it's football related again:

Dang Hernando, a little touchy, huh? Mississippi is a regal state. A state where rich, smart people try their best not to be too arrogant about their superiority. And now its about Trump? And I thought Memphis had an inferiority complex.
