Monday Musings
Scrimmage happened this weekend and no major injuries that is a W.

Good to see donations are on the up although I might give some more credit to a former AD then I have seen. We all know winning helps and a lot of pressure will be on the football team this fall.

Counting down the days to a fall weekend on Myrtle Beach.

RE: Monday Musings
The athletic released their MAC predictions this morning. They have us 4th in the West behind Toledo, NIU, and WMU with Ohio over Toledo in the championship. They also list us as a "Darkhorse Team"

Here is their blurb about EMU

Quote:"It can’t be overstated what Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton has accomplished with two bowl games in three years at a place that went nearly 30 years without one. Mike Glass should be solid at quarterback, but a defense that was No. 30 nationally in scoring will need to rebuild its front seven. Creighton has shown the ability to reload the roster, and the Eagles could win the MAC if things bounce the right way. EMU has played an incredible 24 one-score games in the past three years (out of 38 games). It is 11-13 in those games, but 6-11 in the past two years."

This is what I am looking for: will the O keep their foot on the gas and bury opponents? If we do, this will be fun.

Can Glass stay healthy? From Reggie Bell on we have not kept running qbs healthy, I think Grissom is a viable option at qb and could keep the job if he gets on the field.

From all accounts, Grissom is moving WR now

Just to make this official, Grissom is now listed as a WR on the roster.

Yes Tom, Creighton plays a lot like Tressel used to at Ohio State. Once he has the lead he really gets conservative, that's been his nature. On the flip side when he is behind he does not allow the team to give it up either. It has produced some really exciting games in the last 3 years but I'm with you, I prefer keeping the accelerator pedal down with the lead.
