A 6 point favorite, at home, against CAA doormat Albany?

Yikes.

Yikes.

Big yikes, I think that’s the only team they beat last year

RE: WMU -22.5
I'd put $ on CMU.

They'll still be bottom tier, but not as bad as last year. I think last season was similar to Darnell's last season here, and my hunch being that a disconnect grew between Bono and the locker room (didn't his wife get banned from the press box?).

Although if they lose to Albany, or barely squeak by them, they've got massive issues. It'd be their Nichols State.

I don't know if they'll be another 1-win team this year, though I doubt it.

But if Vegas thinks they're that close to Albany of all teams, that's not a good look.

I agree. They can only be better than last year. Last year was worse than a bad coach-change year. I expect them, at worst, to be 3W. 5W a realistic max. 7W in a dream new coach season.

I also agree. Do the Todd betting hedge. Bet big on CMU and if they end up losing it doesn't matter because you're so happy they lost. As long as they don't win by 5 or less....

If you really think that WMU can drop over 40pts on this Monmouth team this might not be a bad bet. Figure that would give up 14 or less... I think a realistic score in this game is going to be something like 42-17 or 45-20... Depends on how our Defense can slow down the elder Monmouth QB. This COULD be a much closer game throughout the first half than we would be comfortable... Once we wear down the Monmouth depth it will start turning into a much more comfortable win... but once we get up by three TD's and seem to have some solid defense going through teh second half we are going to probably be using the seconds and third teams on offense which will likely slow down our scoring machine.... keeping the overall score closer than the game will appear.

-25.5 would be a decent bet to take with Monmouth getting the points...

Huge swing would be if WMU can force turnovers that turn into points... Id be happy to see a final score that looks something like WMU 56 Monmouth 14. Id be concerned if it ended up something like 35-17 or 35-21... Looking forward to see how this team shows out early.
