Louisville's coming out party! I watched in awe Louisville buzzsaw Bama that game

Yes it was.
I remember a radio interview that following spring with an ESPN rep saying he was driving listening to the game and made a note “get Louisville on”.
That fall UofL hosted Tennessee in our first ESPN prime time game and our relationship with ESPN kind of snowballed from there. In the next decade or so Louisville played every day of the week on the channel.

Coaches shouldn't be able to just walk out on a team.

1997: UNC dominated Virginia Tech in the Gator Bowl and finished 11-1 with an assistant coach after Mack Brown left the team hanging.

You get NO pass, your team was weak sauce, buddy.

HMMM...

The '97 gator bowl against VT.

Yeah! That's just like playing in the Sugar bowl against one of the best college players of all time being coached by one of the best college coaches of all time in that player's last college game.

Building the new Football stadium really helped. The old stadium at EXPO was hideous.

Ah, so obviously Cincinnati was not national champion material nor a top 5 team. Glad we’re on the same page! 04-cheers

And Alabama promptly claimed a national championship after their blowout loss to Louisville.

Claiming 1991, bull**** call in the first game of the season. 11-1, should have been 12-0.
