I imagine the Isaiah Stokes stuff is rekindling these MD redshirt rumors and I can see why.
Why else do you burn a scholly on a 6'7" overweight post player. You don't unless Dandrich can't go this year. That's a two year burn I believe ... So ...

But Stokes most likely has to sit a year, and MD will be playing by then, even if he's redshirted, so I don't see the connection.

That's because there is no connection. Dandridge will be ready by October/November

Penny is recruiting the NBA's game
Plenty of time for everyone who has game
I'm sure if a Dude says he wants guaranteed minutes he's told to find another program
With the pace and D Penny will run, they'll be happy to rest for a couple of minutes

DJ for 4 Games: 22 mpg 18/8/3 and someone said he won’t start. Baugh is best pure PG we have including Lomax but they will back off him until he gets 3pt shot down. I’m guessing in August about these things and I think Baugh May be 2cd behind Lester in minutes played of all our guards.

Right now, from after the Bahamas trip...

Baugh

ALo first guard off the bench, Thomas first big off the bench.

Yeah Tyler rebounded very well from the first game. He didnt look so good 1st game out, but he looked fantastic the last two.

Boogie is definitely in the top 7.

ALo is providing better leadership IMO, Boogie definitely needs minutes and I expect him to be better soon, but as of right now ALo is playing a little better overall IMO. Then like others have pointed out, Tyler is playing good basketball as well.

Don’t disagree. I think this team will go 9 or 10 deep most of the year.

RE: Starting 5
We’re going to a platoon system this season. They’re all going to play because they’re all good and bring something good to the table. Penny has been pretty much saying it interviews about rotating players. Alo and Tyler, the two players some around here prematurely devalued, have been putting in the work and will get playing time along the bigger and more skilled players. Expect 9-10 man rotation for most of the regular season unless some player hit a wall or something during it

Alo and Tyler's play will win us some games this year, either by pushing a lead out or getting us back into a game. Damion Baugh and Boogie had a lot of TO's in the Bahamas. Tyler had zero during the entire trip. If he could keep that us, that would be huge.

In what way is Alo significantly better than Boogie except know how Tyler and Maurice play? Boogie is not a true PG but I based on this way too early sample size, Baugh appears to be our best option there. Boogie can score in bunches which Alo can’t. But deciding your beginning of season rotation is what fall practice is for.

Doesn't matter who starts. It's who is playing the best that will get the majority of minutes. Could change each game. Tight games will have a tighter rotation.

Significantly is too strong of a word, only better. Boogie has to learn how to set up his teammates better. He was not good at dishing out assists during this trip. Boogie needs some time to adapt to the pg position and college basketball, IMO.

Yep

That’s a great lineup. But I think you need one more great outside shooter so they can’t pack it down low on Wiseman. Lester is a pure shooter. Will be tough to not start him.
