I’m 41 and I’ve been on these boards since 2003 when I was 25 years old. Back then there were more guys in their 20s and 30s but some moved on getting married, having children, career changes, etc.

Dabbled a bit in homebrewing but didn't have the smarts or the attention span to commit. Initially I found BJCP to be stifling, but (ironically) I am now studying for the exam. Complementing that with Certified Cicerone and some other unaffiliated pursuits to form a (relatively) complete knowledge of the subject. "Beer Jedi" and all that.

An official report from OSHA was released a couple of months ago. You can read it here: https://www.osha.gov/doc/engineering/pdf/2019_r_03.pdf

In a nut shell, there were structural design deficiencies. In addition, the Engineer of Record and CEI inspector failed to escalade the structural cracks they observed during inspection. There’s enough blame to go around.

Good Luck!!! Some people are very gifted and know their hops very well like my neighbor who does a terrific job when ever he throws a house party.

I worked in management and Human Resources for several years. Decided for a career change. Now I sell cars. Certified to sell Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Different kind of stress than HR was now that I am
working on commission. But I have been doing it for over a year now and enjoy it a lot more than I anticipated I would. It helps that the dealership I work for is family owned and operated and actually values their employees. I am also in the beginning stages of getting into rental properties.

I’m 32 and feel like a kid now after reading some of the other posts in this thread.

The younger crowd argues sports on social media now. And for the older ones who like to be ass holes. I do mean argue too. I don't see a lot of discussion when I venture out there every once in a while.

I know that sometimes that boards can devolve into a ***** fest, but generally speaking the forums are more civil. I can't put up with the BS that is spewed on social media like Twitter. I just stay away from it.

The Internet has given a voice and a pulpit to hate, resentment, and anger. IMO, it brings out the worst in society. And the funny thing is it's not necessarily anonymous. I could kind of see how that could happen in a place like here where we are by and large anonymous from one another but the things that people do/say on FB and Twitter for the whole world to see them amazes me. There is a lot of stupidity in the world. The Internet will lead to the demise of this nation.

I'm with ya. Even on Facebook where you have all of your personal info public they spew some crazy stuff like they're anonymous behind the keyboard. Then they lose their jobs or family. I've been doing social media since the bbs's of the early 90s, efnet and irc, and aol chat rooms on aol 1.0. I guess I got all that dumb trolling out of my system as a teenager. Now I post online with as little difference as I can how I would interact with a person face to face.
