I was told he would be at UAB even if he has to sit out. I will verify this weekend.

Thanks Jball. Only other player I’m curious about is Kelle Sanders (JUCO OLB).

Thanks Jball. Only other player I’m curious about is Kelle Sanders (JUCO OLB).

I’ve been wondering if he’s reclassified to 2020. If that can be done.

Hes not listed in the student directory.

Seems like we came up a little shy in recruiting for the defensive side. I hope to be proven wrong in short order but we seem a little light on talent over there.

Jordan Smith and Alex Wright are both part of last years class and both are going to be studs for us. Wright is a true freshman. I think we will see several more freshmen get their four allowed games in as part of the new red shirt rule.

That's what I'm hoping to see too. Agree on Wright and Smith. It's the LB corp that concerns me. Maybe we just need time there but we also seem small. I think you said it well when you described an ASU OL "engulfing" one of our LB's (Wilder I believe). A 6 foot tall MLB better have some speed and quickness or they will be getting that a lot.

Are Brasher, Harrell, and Wilder all walk ons? If so that's quite a few in the 2 deep at LB.

Yes, lots of walkons in the rotation at LB right now, some of them young, in spite of us signing a highly rated in state LB almost every year. Expected that Rayam would step in this year, but not yet. Its early to expect anything of Conner as a true FR. I suppose Johnston just didnt pan out as a guy who could make plays in the middle. I still wonder why.

And where is Talan?

Yeah Thomas Johnston has been a ghost relative to his recruiting ranking and high school career. Hopefully he can get it going. Wonder what the disconnect is?

I have not seen anything posted on this board related to the eligibility of any player currently on the roster, including LBs.
