Please disregard all of these numbers. They have been proven wrong and very very untrustworthy on many occasions from some of the best in the biz, so please don't post this anymore. I can also post a ton more confirmed & validated info.

clt says we will be spending more this year. New coaches in baseball and football both received pay increase over previous coach.

They are figures that are reported to the NCAA by the schools themselves and have been reviewed by an independent third party accountant so that they comply with the NCAA's Agreed Upon Procedures. So saying they are wrong or untrustworthy is incorrect. That said, there are many different approaches that schools take in accounting for athletic department revenues and expenses and this is acknowledged by the NCAA. So an apple to apples comparison is not likely to ever be able to be made with this data looking at just the bottom line revenues/expenses. Some information is able to be gleaned from them but take it with a grain of salt. There was a clarification of the regulations made by the NCAA a few years back to hopefully make it more standard that occured after the author of your link did her research so some of what she said should have been addressed. Still, without the reports themselves we can't really know.

Since you're listing revenues and not expenses. ODU's would be a decrease of 2M not increase. Expenses decrease closer to 1M decrease.

you don't even do the most with the least in your own conference. That distinction goes to Marshall and WKU, by the numbers.

I don't know what to make of these numbers, but I'll say the numbers seem to be strange for the Virginia schools.

JMU with $40 million in student fees?
ODU's total revenues at $44 million?

There's some VA regulations when it comes to athletic department reporting that inflates these figures. JMU's to the extreme apparently, they seem to put everything but the kitchen sink in their athletic budget but it's all overhead really.

If you want to see the audited reports these figures come from for any VA school you can search here. Type the name of the school in "Report Title" and Pick "Agreed Upon Procedures" as the category.

clt says we had a typo in our budget, the omission of the blue line extension at a cost of $1.59B. Students pay a ridership fee, our baseball team rides it to uptown for games, and fans utilize it for football and basketball games.

Charlotte has the largest athletic budget in college sports.
