It's also not a very "green" vehicle for someone so worried about climate change.

I get that he doesn't know how to change a tire, but nobody on his staff knew to stop this?

When I was in college (early 2000s), my roommate was on a trip with his rowing team. The van got a flat, and not a single other person knew how to change the tire. They were all trying to figure out the number for AAA. My roommate was ticked off: 9 college-age "men" and he's the only one who knows how to change a tire.

To be fair: Technology has improved and people get flat tires less often these days. And you can usually drive several miles after getting a flat. So it's not as essential of a skill as it used to be.

I wouldn't know how to do it either, except my Dad made it a condition of getting my license: he wouldn't let me take the state driver's test until I demonstrated that I could change a tire.

Why would anyone not named Nancy need to be taught how to change a tire?? That should be innate male knowledge.

Best example of "white privilege" out there short of the Kennedys.

I still get one about every year. But then they rarely bother to sweep the streets in Atlanta so there are a lot of nails around.

most cars do not use run-flat tires. So no, people aren't getting less flat tires today than used to, and you cannot drive several miles on a flat tire. You can on run flat tires, but that's a very small percentage of vehicles.
