Well, this line of thought mirrors the special counsel's idea of not being assumed innocent and findings not exonerating.

Trump's not being accused of anything illegal or unethical. Just of communicating differently from other world leaders. So there's no need for legal standards to apply to this.

Some might say that Trump's communication style is one of his greatest strengths.
