No. The chance to grow the base under current leadership and staff is lost. A decade ago we had a four year stretch over 20K. Been going down since. We won’t break 20K in any game this year. Might get there in announced for those two games but not in scanned attendance.

Won’t see it again until change occurs. The fan base has spoken and checked out on Stockstill as well as the university’s leadership. We’re basically where Charlotte was two years ago.

Those are good points. I remember the excitement of being in the stands during the near sell out blackout game against Memphis in 2009. We were a program on the map and on an upward trajectory. I just wish there was some actual true excitement around the program. Recruitment isn’t what it used to be. I like stock a lot. He’s really cleaned up Andy’s mess and made APR a non issue. But fans are checking out since the program seems content to settle for mediocrity. In a way it’s a relatively familiar approach to mid major football. Try to get seven wins. Maybe squeeze in an 8th. Possibly surprise a big name team. Play in a bowl no one’s ever heard of.

So what’s it going to take to shake things up? McFee came in to office back when I was in undergrad waaaay back 15 years ago.
