If his family/close friends cared about him they'd insist he not further embarrass himself going forward and bow out now before it gets even uglier. Sooner or later his supporters are going to realize they've hitched their wagon to a broke down, dried up and befuddled old jack-ass.

He's just an old guy with a fat wallet who happens to be a lifelong politician.
He's being exposed and it's just not a good look for him personally.

He should be fishing and playing with his grandkids. He has earned that. Now, he's embarrassing himself on a daily basis.

I feel bad for the guy.

No, not at all like Hiilary. She was motivated by money, power and the need to control the levers of justice so that she and her cronies could avoid answering for their corruption. Ego was an afterthought.

Joe Biden is the most cringe-worthy politician I've ever seen, and it has always been so (I don't think age has much at all to do with it). But he's not the scandal factory (Kim Strassel's term) that is Hillary Clonton.

Their motives are different, but Hillary didn't need to become President to accomplish what you're saying. She was doing just fine at it as SOS.
