BDF (OSU) --> Freeman (OSU) --> Gino (HoF)

Let the Bearcat Dynasty begin!

if he did could we make a run at Urban Meyer???
I know it’s next to impossible for him to come here, but I like this thinking. What’s the harm in throwing the kitchen sink at him.

We would literally start getting four and five stars. A top coach can win very big at UC.

Yet when I suggested this exact scenario for MBB, everyone had a coronary.

If we had Rick Pitino and Urban Meyer at UC, would we be the most hated school in college athletics? We'd certainly be up there. 03-rotfl

This thread seems simple. He ain’t leaving and if he were, the answer is Freeman, period.

Unless Urban is available, then yes Freeman would be the guy at this point and keep most the staff.

While Freeman does seem like the logical choice, I'd hope Cunningham does a full search to evaluate all possibilities. You never know who might turn up. But the timing is certainly less than ideal.

Bobby Petrino is at MO State at only $250,000 a year.

The best guy on the current staff (prob. Freeman) and hope that we keep the players and recruits on board.

It would have to be Freeman. I don’t necessarily think he’s got the resume for this to be his 1st HC gig but he has the players and at this late date who is available, highly qualified and has recruiting ties to the region that has not been scooped up already in the last 2 hiring cycles?

Yep. Agree with everything above.

He may end up being a grand slam, but it's 1:30am and the bar lights are about to come on.

I would be alright with Freeman as HC, and promoting Gino and Mickens to OC and DC respectively. I think Gino will be the HC at Cincinnati someday. The dude is already a phenomenal recruiter and he has a tremendous Bearcat legacy behind him.

RE: Next man in if BDF leaves?
Question, whoever is the next coach if Fick leaves, can we just skip year 3 in the regime? Go right from year 2 to year 4?
