RE: Brady McBride BOH
Going to be a big year for White.

He will silence a significant portion of this board.

Do you think CMN has anything at stake here? Worked his whole life....many many hours...for this moment. You think he's willing to sacrifice winning in order to show favortism for a QB. Are you high? CMN wants to win. He'll play the best guy. Period. Your entire conspiracy theory shows zero thought.

Work out the kinks and come back. Better yet, don't.

In line with the "I would have been a pro had my high school coach just played me but didn't because he did not like me".

Coaches make a living playing the players that give them the best chance to win. They do not sit future pros and they do not play QBs because that is their guy.

And at the end of the day both of these guys are Norvell's recruits. White is simply the better QB and earned the right to keep his place as starter...

Yeah I think the players should prove themselves to us fans too. Screw the coaches. I heard the backup to the backup deep snapper is really getting overlooked too. And we’ve really had some serious turnover at waterboy. Not looking good for this season. Lucky to win 2 games, IMO.

Do y’all know how silly you sound sometimes?

Who saying we aren’t going to win. In our offense we could put Joey magnifico at quarterback and we would be ok, he could throw screen passes and handoff. Probably have good statistics! If you don’t see something weird here, this was a highly regarded redshirt freshman that left one week into camp; as a concern, your drinking to much blue koolaid!

UGA has lost a QB every year for the last 3 yrs. It happens, guys want to play. Sometimes an injury gets the #2 guy an opportunity, sometimes not. UGA had a starter go down (Eason) who was the #1 QB recruit in the country & Fromm got the job & never gave it up. Fromm was challenged the next season by another #1 (Justin Fields) but Fromm got the job again. Fromm was never considered as good as Eason or Fields but once he got his opportunity he never let it go & now he's considered the top 1-3 QB in the draft after this season.

All of this to say, White seems fragile & he could go down any play. If I were the #2 & was confident I could be the #1 successfully, I might hang on - like Fromm rather than sit out a year only to play at a lower level. Didn't seem to benefit David Moore much or maybe better said it showed his passing game was too weak for Memphis. Brady Davis, another QB who left Memphis has had a great career at IL St, so it benefited him. But don't see this as a program problem, guys want to play.

But Moore is going to get to play for Jim McElwain this year, so let's see how he does. (David, don't go deep sea fishing with coach.)

I mean, yeah it does happen. But has Norvell ever given any indication at all that he would play favorites to the detriment of the program?

Split whites numbers versus good and bad competition. I'm not arguing Moore is better but White's stat line is insanely misleading.

Paxton Lynch knew the playbook better than Favre. He was just a kid with a cannon and a will to win. Who knew at the time he'd be what he is now?

Favre was a rookie and...
Favre's first pass in an NFL regular season game resulted in an interception returned for a touchdown in a game against the Washington Redskins. He only attempted four passes in his career at Atlanta, was intercepted twice, and completed none of them. Favre took one other snap, which resulted in a sack for an eleven-yard loss.

He only became a stater in Green Bay after the #1 QB went down with an injury so that is some revisionist history on your part. And lots of QBs go on to have great careers but do not start as rookies, that is not unusual at all...

All of the above is true, but coaches make personnel decision mistakes all the time in every sport.
Now, I am not against White. I think he was better last season than many others seem to think. Saying that, I also know Norvell has been really invested in White across schools and it is possible that investment has blinded him some to what he has and what White can be.

No coach is ever above being questioned, not even Belichik or Saban. In fact, I am willing to say if you were following the Bama message board there were posters saying things like "we have glaring weaknesses that are not being addressed" and someone else responding with "we just won by 24 pts, how can you be crying about weaknesses". Then those glaring weaknesses bite them hard when they are getting blown out in the NC game.

Moore was playing freaking JUCOs and you want to break down White's competition.

You missed the fact that Moore was playing against juco teams. I believe every D White played against is better than a juco D - even UConn.

Um, you really said that? Did you ever see a game Moore played on a running team that wouldn’t make Tom Brady look good. I do believe in Memphis offense Moore’s numbers would have been similar, and our record 1 game better because we would have beaten Navy; and to complete the reversal conspiracy, not sure White could have done any better with that judo team. No way to prove it; but you guys wouldn’t want that anyway ?
