RE: 1st Amendment huh?
Agreed, seems like nonsense.

Having said that.

Are there biases in the search engines (Google), algorithms (virtually everything), allowable content (Youtube, Twitter, etc)?

You (of all people) would know.

If yes

Do they favor any particular view?

Anyone "worried" about how future elections might be "influenced" (LOL)?

If no

Paranoia from the blow hard ?

Yahoo was dirty AF when they were top dog. Not political though. Just corrupt. The take then? Go use another search engine. We had a ton then, Alta Vista, Excite, etc.

I'm not sure if Google is using search engines to slant things, I would think they wouldn't for many reasons, but are they required to be neutral? So we're for net neutrality now? Interesting.

I'm all for it.

I'm not sure if this is directed at me?

But I JUST SAID that Trump considering this is nonsense.

That doesn't mean his worries are baseless.

Just that his solution is wrong and evil.

No, it's actually directed at the Trump admin and his people. They took the stance that net neutrality wasn't necessary.

NOW it sounds a little different. "Next on Oprah, things that make you go, hmmmm"

Mitch McConnell's Official Campaign Twitter account was suspended for retweeting a tweet with a video of the protesters outside his home.
Twitter said the account was suspended to remove the the video.

I think we need to remind ourselves that they’re a business first and the search feature is part of their model. It’s not public service.

Use Bing or another one.

All of that is still empirical evidence, until we see their code.

"We" don't need to remind ourselves of this.

Though, many politicians should.

Agreed.

See their code...???

You think Google would (voluntarily) open itself to scrutiny?

Not unless they were forced and I still wouldn't trust them to be forthcoming. They think they're bigger than everyone or everything.

I agree with the anti trust sentiment towards them though, too big and powerful.
