32% of dims say any criticism of politicians of color is racism
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_c..._is_racist

Quote: Voters are closely divided over whether President Trump is a racist, but one-in-three Democrats think it’s racism any time a white politician criticizes a politician of color.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of all Likely U.S. Voters think Trump is a racist, down a bit from 50% in January 2018. Slightly more (49%) disagree and say his opponents are accusing him of racism only for political gain, up from 43% in the earlier survey.

Leftism is a mental disorder.

He's trying to have a meaningful post. Sometimes it's hard to try new things.

Nah, I thought that number would be higher. But maybe there are a number of more centrist democrats.

Ahh, we are commenting on two different things. You think that number is too high to what it should be. I thought that number is lower than what it would be.

I agree with you.

Gotcha! IMO, the mere notion that anyone would think that merely criticizing someone of a different color is automatically racism is asinine. It makes no sense unless the person that thinks that is racist themselves.

RE: 32% of dims say any criticism of politicians of color is racism
It just seems like white man (no matter the party) bad now.

Quote:Angela Rye, the CNN commentator who clashed with Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland a year ago, called Strickland a racist and a “Dixiecrat” during a Thursday luncheon in support of Memphis mayoral candidate Tami Sawyer.

Rye said she didn’t know Strickland personally, but she didn’t like him and that when she thought of perpetrators of racism and bigotry, she thought of him. She offered few specifics of why she thought he was racist or why she had compared him to an offshoot of the Democratic Party that espoused white supremacy and seceded from the party during the 1948 presidential election.

So...she doesn’t have any proof he’s a racist, has never met him, just doesn’t like him. He is white and the woman she’s campaigning for is black, so he’s a racist. Also, this is the mayor that set off a local firestorm for removing a Nathan Bedford Forrest statue, because clearly only a racist would be motivated to do that, right?

This was at a luncheon for a Memphis mayoral candidate who blamed police officers when her county commissioner district rioted and injured a few officers over a police shooting a few months ago.

Quote:Shelby County Commissioner, and activist, Tami Sawyer, says some officers overstepped. "We have to hold ourselves accountable, and we have to hold police accountable."

Democrats really aren’t all that far from causing a race war with crap like this. People need to wake the hell up before it’s a bridge too far.

Typical Memphis politics.
