I know this has probably been discussed but I am a little confused. I do not have cable. How do I watch the NFL network, ESPN U, SEC Network? I was considering YouTube TV but they do not have the NFL network.

Southern Miss games are on:
ESPN + - it's own subscription - check
Stadium (Facebook) - free - check
ESPN U (Ms State), SEC Network (I guess for Bama), NFL Network - what is the most optimal way to stream these options, Sling TV?

Yep if you are a in general sports fans, streaming is hard to do....I like NFL Network, golf, tennis plus regular sports like football and basketball....Hard to get all in one sports package streaming.....So I stick with Direct TV and get ESPN + for all of WKU games...

I am in the same boat as you. After all of the research I did I think I am going to go with Hulu Live. It does not come with the NFL Network at this moment but I read they are in negotiations.

I'll have to look into Hulu...hadn't considered that. I looked in to Sling and it just ticked me off. They have two packages that are both $25 BUT one has NFL network without ESPN and the other has ESPN without the NFL network so you would have to buy both packages at $40/month to have the ESPN channels and NFL network...prob still cheaper than other options though.

I believe Sling has all of them except ESPN+ but I have Roku so not a lot of trouble to switch over to the ESPN app.

Good to know. Thanks. I believe this is the key to streaming. Companies are starting to work to bundle some things and just keeping an eye out for them is a good way to save money. Of course that takes a little work and a lot of people don't like to do that.

I currently get Hulu and Spotify for $10 bundled. Will have to do a little math to see if I switched how that would turn out. Spotify Premium is $10 a month all by itself so the bundle basically means I'm getting one of them free.

It's really not that much work if you're a competent person who has internet and a TV w/ an HDMI port. You've got you're linear TV (ESPN/2/U/NEWS/NFL NETWORK/CBS Sports Network/FS1/ABC/FOX/CBS/NBC etc.) and then you've got:

ESPN3 = streaming but generally only available if you've already got a linear TV subscription with a television provider. Having ESPN/2/U/NEWS and therefor ESPN3 does NOT give you ESPN+ content.
ESPN+ = stand alone streaming subscription. Having ESPN+ does NOT give you ESPN3 or any of ESPN's linear TV content.
Stadium = free on Stadiums website (watchstadium.com)
Stadium on Facebook = free on Facebook

I bought a Fire Stick so I didn't have to fool with casting the Facebook games to the Chromecast (always had issues with buffering) or mess with an HDMI cord from the laptop to the TV.

Firestick has Facebook Watch. It's a channel/app just like Netflix, ESPN app, or Pluto TV. I highly suggest it if you've got a bunch of Facebook games like we do. The 4K Firestick picture is awesome. I pulled up a game on ESPN3 and it was like watching ESPN HD. Any other time I've watched ESPN3 with the Roku it was very apparent you were watching a streaming game. Quality wasn't great.

Don't forget NFL network...Sling, Vue or maybe one other streaming option that I fail to remember. Hulu in the works apparently. Or, sit at a sports bar if that's your thing.
