You would like our swim team.
We also have no diving.

I can't force myself to watch it. Even though our market (South Florida) gets the next MLS team, I can not get excited.
Agreed. I live right outside Houston, and have honestly tried to get into watching the Houston Dynamo. Just can't do it.
And for those who ridicule the sport for the diving, it's well deserved. It wasn't always like this though. Back in the 80's, there was more contact, and guys just played through it. The recent Presidents of FIFA (the governing body of the sport) are the reason the sport has become a dive fest. Even though I believe it's in the rules for players to be carded for diving, it's very rarely ever enforced, and has been allowed to go on and on to the point where it's now unfortunately just commonplace and expected.
We're starting to see some diving in the NBA now also. Hopefully they'll have the balls to do something about it before it goes any further.
Agreed, the MLS just isn't a great product right now. But it is significantly better than it was a decade ago. So maybe it will continue to be enforced. As a lifelong fan/player I wish they would go with the simplest solution to stop diving. If you are caught once, you get a warning, twice a game suspension, three times 2 games, fourth time, 4 games. It's hard to catch them in the act, but you can easily handle this after the fact. But soccer is definitely not the only sport with a diving problem these days.
Diving is not a big problem elsewhere. Pared with strong penalties for diving and an overall strong product, various European leagues are far more watchable than MLS. MLS, unfortunately, is not getting past being the league where top players go to retire.
Diving is not a problem elsewhere in sports, or elsewhere in soccer? I watch the premier league games every week, and I can assure you there is diving there. And if you mean other sports, have you watched a basketball game lately?
It's not a big problem. It is not as big a problem as it used to be.

USM’s Women went to #24 LSU, scored first, but ultimately lost on a last minute goal 2-1. Coach Mo has had the program on an upward trajectory since he got here and resulted in a Cinderella run to the tournament final last year. Pretty excited for the program going forward.

Rice hasn’t lost to LSU since 2013.
We’ve played four times since then with Rice winning two, and the other two (including last year) ended in ties.
Also, we hired away their head coach this offseason as we missed the NCAAs for the first time in a couple years.

USM women’s soccer defeated Auburn last night to improve to 2-2 vs the SEC this year (1-1 in exhibitions and 1-1 in regular season games) and 4-3 overall. But in true TTT form, 2 of our 3 losses on the season are to Southeast Missouri St and UL Monroe by a goal each.

Actually yes, our Women's Golf team beat the #2 team, Vandy, by 2 strokes today. After two rounds they are tied for first in the tournament.

RE: clt says let's talk soccer
Marshall now receiving votes, 28 to be exact. That's good enough for #29. Marshall is 5-1-1 on the season. With win over and South Carolina.
I really like Marshall's HC, Chris Grassie. At the University of Charleston (WV) DII he was 99-20-8 in 6 years with 2 trips to the DII title game, losing both 2-1.
Before Grassie the coach was Bob Gray and he done what he could for 22 years but for the most part he didn't have Hoops Family Field which has completely changed the game for Marshall.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but Charlotte women's golf was ranked #7 last week, but despite 2 great finishes dropped to #11 this week.
