Maybe we can get RJ Hampton's New Zealand team to fly in for the Thursday game that's TBD. lol

This is great! Nice competition, I'd say. I suppose the last time we did this was Pastner's team in Canada. I don't expect us to get slaughtered this go-round, but hey it's early with a very very young team vs pretty solid competition with grown men. We'll see.

Is this the same place Tubby's gophers pulled our pants over our heads when Pastner and JJ bonded?

The game against the Commonwealth Bank Giants should be fun. They love to play fast. We could score 120. Temple beat them 98-96 and Temple isn't generally a fast paced team. Other teams there look really crappy though.

That was a regular season tournament game in the Bahamas. Hollins scored 41 for Minnesota (curse of the Memphis kid). Stan Simpson played more minutes than Joe.

I assumed their National team would have some talent. Hate to hear we'll play the best team we'll face on day 1.

RE: Memphis basketball team's schedule set for Bahamas trip
Furman defeated Raw Talent Elite 91-80 Sunday in the Bahamas.

The Commonwealth Bank Giants, who went 21-1 in NPBA play last season, defeated McNeese State 79-65 on Sunday.

Temple defeated Commonwealth Bank Giants 98-96 on Saturday in the Bahamas. Quinton Rose led the Owls (who committed 20 turnovers) with 24 points. Nate Pierre-Louis added 18 points and contributed 11 rebounds. Temple trailed by nine points with less than six minutes left but went on a 17-6 run to come from behind

One thing I thought about playing Temple this year is at least we have several options (Would love to see Precious guard him) to guard him playing man- last year we had none.

Nothing earthshaking here. Should go undefeated unless they bring in a pro team for our final game. I suspect it will be Commonwealth again if round robin format is used. Just a wild guess.

Who is him, Quinton Rose? He had a real good game against us in the first game but only scored 6 (3-13 FG) in the second game we won.

Several of the teams we are playing are pro teams.

What does that make Temple, Furmam and McNeese State? Rose is a 6-10 guard with true guard skills. Needs to work on shot selection but needs to get away from zone defenses. In NBA, he will be valuable ISO post up player. Not abad shooter but if he gets 3pt shot up to around 38% he will be late first round.

Rose measured 6'7" in shoes averaged 2.5 assists, 2.5 turnovers and shot 27% from 3, 40% overall and 68% from the line. Three point shooting was down from his freshman year. He's also 22 years old. Not sure why you think he has true guard skills or a valuable NBA player.

Maybe we should sail over

A guy said I could take his cigar over and back
But not to look into the lower compartment
And to call Juan once I got to the Bahamas

He is listed at 6-8 my bad- where did you get 6-7? I think he is a legit 6-8 or maybe 6-9 (looked like Tacko vs our small guards); NBA scouts say the only question mark is the outside shot-something he should have worked on all summer.

Texas Tech is also in the Bahamas next week and they've paid a Serbian pro team to come in two games. Tigers are probably trying to line that team up for our 4th game. They would be the strongest opponent we would face.

I didn't see anything about streaming in that link.

But I hear it's very unlikely. The excuse is the cost of bandwidth. I do see that Texas Tech is streaming their games from the Bahamas next week. P5 money I guess.

There are still ongoing discussions about possible Facebook Live streaming from some reporters/university employees. Quality wouldn't be much though.

It's a bit hidden.

I read no US streaming in another article. Going to search for international streaming. Requires VPN.

I think it's sad that Delaware basketball can get their games streamed but we can't.
