RE: Memphis basketball team's schedule set for Bahamas trip
Stilling trying to figure out why Louisville and Kentucky fans are showing up to watch summer exhibition games in August featuring the Memphis Tigers? Hmmmmm!

Yep.
It’s really been a great trip for all of us here. The fans, staff, players and players families.
To meet and talk to these young men and their families has truly been a blessing. We really have some good, we’ll spoken young men on this team.
Funny thing... Tyler’s mom told my wife last night that Penny takes their phones from them every night at 10 and makes them go to bed.
Penny and the players were up one morning at 6 am and went to a local park to teach some young kids here about basketball.
Go Penny.. I didn't think he would have that in him but he's really trying to help them see what a professional would/should do. Thanks for that insight.
I don’t know why everyone underestimates Anfernee as a person. He is a leader in the City of Memphis and one of it’s most respected citizens. He is very involved the the community; a philanthropist, benefactor, and a warm, caring individual. Anfernee also loves golf and values his privacy which he has chose to give up to turnaround this program-which he has in less than 18 months and has swung basketball revenue over $15M.
So many see him just as a figurehead for the basketball program. The fans have turned on every coach since the 1950s except Gene Bartow (had he been given the add’l $5K a year and stayed, he would have too).
After the Tubby fiasco, Anfernee became Penny (like most all celebrities who are known by one name, he has two personalities-watch the Magic/Bird 2010 documentary to hear Magic talk about Magic and Earvin) again and put all of this on the line for a insignificant amount of money (to him) to inevitably become a maligned Coach. I think that’s why he signed the 3 year contract with no extensions thus far which is very strange within itself.
When he wins that National Championship, he is gone but Memphis will always be home.

Maybe they are dazed because you forgot one of your align notations.

Uh, of course the team has holes. Three of the Tigers’ top players did not play. And most of the players had not been on the floor together. Yes, they’ll have “holes,” but that’s to be expected with a bunch of freshmen and a couple of sophomores as the main players. I they they sit pretty good, facing a very good season.

I was just composing the same idea lol
We are coming up on a magnificent season of glory!
Even when we add our Wiseman and our Precious to the team, there will still be weaknesses that the perfectionist fans will moan about... but perfection ain’t happening in real life — it’s just another one of those ideas we torture ourselves with...lol

So you agree as well.
It is actually a positive that there were flaws... it helps the coaches coach

This started out really beautiful but you lose me on the bolded part.
And where is Penny going?

Those three were responsible for the worst time I ever had in the MSC. Even today, the calling of the pigs still makes me mad when I hear it.
