Men's Basketball Summer Updates?
Has anyone been over at Savage Arena this summer to see any of Men's Basketball Players in Open Gym? I am curious to see how the 5 incoming Freshmen, who are in Summer School, look, as well as the 2 redshirt freshmen (Saunders and Smith). I am also wondering if M. Jackson is back in the gym playing after his major shoulder surgery from last March. With the lack of an experienced back up point guard, I think his "health" is going to be a major factor in whether or not the Rockets are going to be successful this upcoming season.

RE: Men's Basketball Summer Updates?
yes, that is the big story. this team will be luke and the jacksons. if those 3 all have big years we could win the mac. there's minutes to be won and a nice group of young players to audition. should be a fun team. don't appear to be the team to break the ncaa hex with the key injury to edu, but there's a potentially good team here. the usually run informal scrimmages in the fetterman upstairs gym during the day.

RE: Men's Basketball Summer Updates?
I stopped going to watch summer games after my assessment that Delino Deer would be the MAC Defensive Player of the Year some day. I sort of agree with pono (as always) but I think the transition of Spencer Littleson from fourth or fifth option from distance to a go-to-guy from 3 point range will be a major element.

Delino “deer in headlights”

I sit right behind the bench and remember so many times an assistant leaping to his feet and screaming “Delino, NOOOOO!”
