Trump denied another yes man...SAD.

Quote:The scuttled nomination deepened questions about the White House's seemingly haphazard vetting process, but Trump brushed aside those concerns, even crediting the media for its role in the process.

"You vet for me. I like when you vet ... I think the White House has a great vetting process. You vet for me," Trump said. "When I give a name, I give it out to the press and you vet for me. A lot of times you do a very good job. Not always."

"...Ratcliffe had decided to stay in Congress so as to avoid "months of slander and libel." Why would anyone who isn't a megalomaniac put themselves through it?

Ratcliffe’s third-largest campaign donor in the 2019-2020 cycle, according to Open Secrets, a non-profit that tracks the intersection of money in politics, is a company that forced the shutdown of a critical government cybersecurity office.

An email disclosing Rep. John Ratcliffe’s (R-TX) alleged involvement in a controversial whistleblowing case reached the White House prior to the announcement Friday that he was withdrawing his name from consideration for Director of National Intelligence, according to two sources with knowledge of the correspondence.

The email, originally sent to the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, laid out how Ratcliffe promoted a company accused of being instrumental in the reprisal against a whistleblower and their cybersecurity efforts, according to one of those sources.

So, what are the actual facts? Is there anything here, or is this just smear by association?

Seemed like a pretty good pick but with the speed in which he withdrew, something must have come up that he and/or Trump didn't want to deal with.

He's not naive. He already accepted that. Then withdrew. Not the reason.

He made up false achievements. It is what he put in his bio about putting terrorists in jail and the number of illegals caught for the state of Texas. With FOIA for court cases? There seems he never prosecuted terrorists, and the numbers of illegals caught? It was multi states which he had no authority and 2 cases were thrown out that the 2 supposed illegals were born in the USA. Falsifying what you claim in Government especially trying to get a job for the Security of this country could cause problems since he never had any experience.

Is that the real reason. He, himself, wanted his name put up for this position. He, himself, knew what he put up for his resume. When you go for a job position, you have to put up a resume that is truthful knowing the company is going to follow through on checking it out. What do you think would happen, unless you feel that the check is not being followed through.

So we should have let Blumenthal question him in the Senate hearing. If he is on the cognizant committee.
