Great, we get to see how we look in a man to man defense... Why not even have the option of throwing out a 2-3 zone???!!! Every player on that team knows how to run one, it's not some complex defense. This makes no sense to why he wouldn't at least want to see how we play in another defensive look after we were one of the worst defenses in the country last season. smh

That comment alone would lead me to believe either we look significantly better in M2M, OR, he hasn't learned. I'm going to hope it's the first option.
It is disconcerting though, with our lack of size, we need to be pressing too.

Exactly. Zone is the easier to learn. He has two games to see what consists now of his guys if they can play the more complex D. I'm hoping his plan is to mix in some zone when the games count. But man to man is his thing. He recruited these guys for that main purpose. This gives him the opportunity to see if he recruited successfully to meet his system. If it doesn't work out, hopefully he will be willing to adjust better than he has.
