Should be the most improved unit in 2019. In spite of giving up too many sacks, they impressed me last season as an undersized and inexperienced group. This year they should take another big step forward.

I’m excited because I just discovered I have the PAC 12 network on my DISH package and never knew it. I was looking to see how I’d be able to see the game and found out I already can. Party at my house!

I just added to my Spectrum subscription. I got the PAC12 channels plus some more premium channels for $12.00 per month more. Seemed like a good deal so I will be watching KSU vs ASU Thursday night. Will probably keep it for several months and then cancel.

I just looked at my program guide and discovered that while the game starts at 7 p.m. Mountain time, they're not on Daylight Savings so 7:00 there is like 7:00 Pacific daylight time or 10:00 EDT.

Better and quicker decision making by the QB would help some of that sack total, but I agree they were pretty inexperienced. One or two were former TE converted. Will we see a tackle eligible receiver formation!!

All this money coming in from "brutal non conference schedule" yet the resurfacing to the indoor practice field is 100% private donations. Begs the question what happens to the money from these games? Realize we need these games to financially support the football program how ever no other MAC team plays 3 money games every year.
Also by playing 3 money games a year a disservice is being done to the local business community.

Spot on observations - only Miami has anywhere near our schedule according to Hustle Belt

How much of that money is spent on Joel jet setting around and hosting his special guests? Money games are one thing, brutal scheduling like this is ridiculous. Disservice to the community, but what about the kids? How does a poor program dig out when you go into the year knowing you’re looking at 3 losses. And the one FCS team you bring in is a loaded team and no gimme?

RE: 2019 Football Season
I am not a fan of the scheduling, but I don't want it to be an excuse at the same time. The game on Thursday is absolutely a winnable game. I hope the "culture shift" that is taking place has the young men thinking in the right direction.

Basically, I'm tired of excuses of why we can't win. Personally, I see Kent State as a sleeping giant that just needs to be awaken to realize it's potential.

On a side note, looks like season tickets are down this year after purchasing them today. Great conversation though the other person on the line with me. Personally, I think a 4-8 season is the minimum to keep the momentum going.

RE: 2019 Football Season
One of the things that frustrates me about the scheduling is it makes it very difficult for fans to get into the team. In the early part of the season when the weather is still nice we get one home game and while it's often a good FCS team it generally has no name value so to the casual fan a close game against Kennesaw sounds like a start of a bad season. Then we run the gauntlet and hope we're actually healthy when MAC play starts. How much will the outlook here change it someone like Barrett or Shaw goes down during one of those P5 blood baths?

So by the time MAC play rolls around and the weather is starting to get worse in most years we're at best 1-3 with potentially big injuries. Not much to catch the causal fan's attention and you basically have to compete for the MAC title just to have a shot at bowl eligibility. Then again, maybe that's the plan. Make a lot of money and only go to a bowl game if we're really good and not likely to lose as much money going to some no name bowl.

Well perhaps there is a chance next year to relieve the gauntlet a little bit. The Arkansas game has been pushed back to 2024. UK and Alabama are the other two games. Didn't realize KSU was a part of the SEC

Hoping for a 4-8 season and the fact that the line for Thursday nights game is 25 points certainly doesn’t scream “winnable game”.

It’s our annual recipe for 3 paydays, 3 Ls and a low seasonal attendance figure. Three road paydays, 1 FCS team with no name draw, then on to the Tuesday-Thursday night league games and/or foul weather which makes it a tough draw, especially for any out of towners.
