I think there is a recruit from GA and another recruit from OH that will close out this class. It was going to be small as they lose 5, 2 had eligibility left but decided to stop after this season since they have graduated. (Simpson/Byland).

I think the only 3 weights in question for next season are 165lbs, 184lbs
, and HWT.

165lbs will be between Limongi, Torres, & Russell

184lbs will be between Bates, Neu, & Boyle

HWT will be between Cover (had shoulder surgery and rehabbed most of this season, now healthy) & Berthold and possibly Chrisman

I hope there is a wrestling team next year.

COVID or no COVID i'd be concerned if I was a wrestling coach. COVID may be the final straw. If I had to guess Kent will cut wrestling here very shortly.

I haven’t heard anything. However, at this time, nothing would surprise me with college athletics. For the first time ever, I’ve heard people speak of KSU dropping ALL athletics. Is Urbana University going to be the only school to close? Doubtful.

3 recruits now for Andrassy/staff with the recent commitment of Mason Wersinger, 141lbs from Spencerport NY.

Mason could be a replacement for Cory Simpson @ 141lbs weight class.

Trent Tidball, 157lbs/165lbs, replacement for Kade Byland @ 165lbs weight class.

Blake Chrisman, 197lbs/HWT, competition for Cover & Berthold.

Feature on Andy Garcia, four-time heavyweight champion in Colorado, who will be at Kent State next season.

I counted 76 but I have a feeling many are going to disappear over the next year.

Shame that Stanford and their $27,700,000,000.00 endowment couldn’t find a way to keep those programs intact...

They need to ensure all of the administrators have a cushion.

Any announcement on whether they are going to wrestle this year? I notice no schedule is posted. Same question for gymnastics too.
