Until I actually see some of fall practice and read the reports that come out of the different camps, I can't make a logical prediction. I have an idea of how I think the season will play out, but need to see which players are or are not improving, and which additions will and won't work out for our programs.

Who is your East winner? Marshall. FIU will be a little bruised up after the Miami game. Last game is @Marshall, the Herd takes it.

Who is your West Winner? USM. UNT has a big target on their backs deemed this year's favorite. Folks will be looking at ways to slow down Fines.

Surprise Team: Charlotte (hate to pick my team here but I think we can get bowl eligible)
Non-Charlotte Surprise Team: La Tech (I know they're picked third but they don't seem to be getting a lot of run. I think they're the second best team in the West. The more I look at USM the more I think LA Tech gets them and UAB needs a year to reload)

East Champ: FIU (Marshall 2nd)
West Champ: USM (NT 2nd)

Surprise Team: WKU, third in the East.and in it until their 10/26 game at Marshall.

By the time it happens, it may not even be that big of an upset. I can picture that matchup as Miami (6-4) at FIU (9-1) and the Canes favored by 3.5

I’ve also got my fingers crossed for Marshall at Boise. I know that’ll be rough but if we’re up for the game... yeah, we can take it.
