The competition Fedora faced was light years better than what we play now.

You're completely missing the point I'll explain it for the millionth time:

Just like what people are saying right now about Hop (that he's not a good HC, he's not the answer, he can't win a champ etc.)...people said the SAME EXACT THING about Fedora during HIS first 3 years. Before year 4, Fedora made the necessary staff changes (DC Dan Disch, S/C Paul Jackson) and went 12-2 and won CUSA. Before year 4, Hop has made his necessary staff changes (OC Buster Faulkner, S/C Jim Durning, OL coach Stancheck)...what will Hop's team do in his year 4? It remains to be seen...

Well, as confident as 3(T) is, this season is really going to be interesting on both sides of the conference. Buckle your chin straps and seat belts boys and girls... and getcha popcawn ready!!!! Let’s raise our glasses in hopes of CUSA going 56-0 OOC..

Hey guys, don’t spoil my fantasy, ok?

TTT = To the Top.

Comes directly from the first words to the fight song: “Southern Mississippi to The Top...” pushed as the rallying cry/motto/etc. In the 90s/2000s. Now is a common hashtag (#SMTTT).

Used by fans ironically when we do something bad/mess up something we shouldn’t have/or all around apathy. Akin to Houston’s “ Coug’d it”

"TTT" is relevant to whatever success we may or may not be having...To The Top of the standings....could also mean To The Top of the streaming turd pile.

I haven't even mentioned the secondary yet. A lot of production coming back. This is probably the most stout USM defense we've had in a looooong time, especially considering the amount of overall defensive production we have returning from the T10 defense we had last year. I think we're gonna be a nightmare for a lot of offenses this year. TTT...

Still afraid to play App in a bit of rain....

SAD!

Grad Transfer on campus this summer. DE Torrence Brown Penn State, 6’5’ 255 R-Sr. Small HBU All-American DE Terry Whittington 6’5’ 240 transferred in to Southern Miss July 7th. He was at Alcorn State last season where he had 9 sacks. He has gotten NFL attention. Wanted to prove his worth at another level. Whittington knows Hopson and CO-DC Derek Nicholson well as they recruited him back in 2015 while at Alcorn. The USM Dline should be stout up the middle an offer more pash rush options off of the edge this season.

Apparently 6'6 275 DE/DT De'Mike Chesser has not left the team. He's been at practice all week. However, per Twitter, RS Fr DE Ethan Edmondson is transferring out because the depth is that loaded.

The ACC third place team (one game from playing in the title, an undefeated Houston, an (at the time) 5-1 SMU, and plenty other solid teams. Outside of Bama, it’s hard to say many on our schedule compare at all to the strength of 2011’s schedule. State is going to be less than average and CUSA is the same.

Houston was not on our schedule, they were in the Cmap Game. MSU and Bama are better than anyone we played in the regular season and Troy is better than most of our C-USA schedule.
