I dont know where I got this notion, but Ive always thought that the visiting team's officials would be used for cross sectional games like this. Am I wrong?

Almost every SEC “buy” game stipulates in the contract that the officials will be from the sec

I recall that years ago split officiating crews were commonly used for OOC games, but over time the practice changed so that the designated "home team" (even at neutral site games) furnishes the officiating crew from its conference list.

We had them scheduled before the shutdown, but of course our beloved president thought we were too broke to field a team. However, we obviously had the cash laying around to pony up $925,000 to Tennessee as a buyout for a game we had to cancel.

I don't know for sure that we paid the full amount--if Ingram had any good will with the folks in Knoxville maybe he negotiated it down, or just rescheduled once we were back in business six months later. But either way, to me the buyouts we had to pay schools like Troy, South Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee was one of the biggest travesties of the shutdown.

Lol, I remember Scarbinsky asked Watts about that and if the donors had to pay for that, and Watts replied with, “That’s not a fair question”, or something to that effect.

Yeah, it wasn't fair taking those payouts out of the money we raised either, but he sure as hell did it.

Man, I would knot get gassed by this game, they will put everything into it. The Blazers have a long season left after this game, If the Blazers where playing for one win they could get the win. But The Blazers have to get back and play the likes of the rest of the Schedule I would play it safe and come home with no injuries and get ready for the rest.

Play to win but realize this means nothing as far as Conference Championship

If penalties can hurt us...WE ARE IN A WORLD OF HURT. We can't afford to have this stupid personal fouls like we've been having and expect to win against an SEC team and their officials.

Late game...might have 3 tickets up for sell. Momma and the kids are not gonna be up for a late one.
