Here is how I would list the stadiums in CUSA.
Tier 1- FAU, North Texas
Tier 2- Marshall, So Miss, MTSU, UTSA
Tier 3- ODU, Charlotte, Rice, UTEP, WKU
Tier 4- FIU, La Tech, UAB
Just Curious have been to these Stadiums? because it sure doesnt look like it. Marshall hasnt played at Tech yet.
I would rank FAU ahead of USM but that might change after I watch a FB game there.
Im going with 1a and 1b because one is a newer "soccer" type stadium and one is old school football of upper and lower decks.
I like the old style stadium of USM that is enclosed better than FAU's . But overall experience of watching a game, plus amenities, and location and the fact in another few years the palm trees will block most of the underneath metal seating. FAU is 1a
it's hard to beat the total package of FAU, great seats on both sides, easy to get food, or to use the restroom and not miss much action. The fact you can climb to the top row on the visitor side and see the Atlantic Ocean on a clear day. Plus it really is a nice looking stadium for being a erector set style.
I have to give the others more thought but I know for a fact Western would be no lower than 4th and most likely 3rd. It's the only football stadium I ever watched a FB game that was so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you.
That's a huge advantage of being compact. There's not another stadium in CUSA (that I been to) with a larger selection of concessions. Beer lines can be slow but I have a son for that and I might drink 2 a season. Dont know about upper deck but its very easy to get in and out of updated restrooms on the lower deck and the West side.
FAU
USM
Western
UNT flat 12k crowd when I was there. Could change my mind if it was rocking
OVERHEAD VIEW and while the listed max attendance is around 22,500 the stadium will hold 24,000. The berm area is not counts on the max seats and it will hold 1500 fans. The west side foundation is already built for a few upper deck to be added if needed...35/40k

How are we.comparing stadiums that seat 20k to a stadium that seats 79k. All in all the Alamodome is the most used & costs the most out of all stadiums in CUSA
Furthermore in today’s money the Alamodome costs 330 million to build, a long with 150 million in renovations, so 480 total. it has held many Final Fours, many Bowl Games, NFL games, high school shrine game, MLB games, concerts, has had crowds close to 70k, it’s basically had tons of events even a big 12 Title game

If you have to rent a stadium to play college football in you probably dont belong in this discussion on "CUSA Stadiums". Or at least that is the way I'm rating.

You realize most college teams finance their stadiums so they don’t actually own them...and that’s essentially a type of renting one.

The only time WKU has played at Apogee, was in 2015. That game was a week after North Texas was destroyed by Portland St., and Dan McCarney was fired. We only had about 10K at that game with WKU. Many fans were beginning their revolt, which lead to the old AD's removal. So, no it was a very lack luster crowd for that WKU game. Things are better now.
I have been to the most and some of those games were pretty lopsided home wins, some competitive and some were not particularly good weather and some bad fan support so i am not gonna pull in all those factors in when ranking esp when i haven't seen them all in the same conditions but this is how i feel aesthetically. Haven't seen LT, UAB and Alamodome in person so can't rank'em)
1. UTEP, FAU, UNT, WKU and UNCC (All beautiful stadiums some aged and some very new)
2. USM, Marshall, Rice and FIU.
3. ODU and MT (Sorry EmptySue folks your FB stadium is as worse as our old stadium)

Tech is one of the stadiums I have not been to. I plan to make the trip next year. I'm happy we are finally playing each other.
Just off pictures alone, I think its really weird that your seating is not even. The upper level is offset from the lower level. That's really weird to me.
1. USM - biased.
t2. Charlotte - New. Friendly fans. Great experience. Bojangles in stadium. The large concourse was a little odd to me, but I understand that it’s designed for expansion. Also, the speaker system was obnoxiously too loud.
t2. WKU - Great “smaller” stadium. Can drink in the stadium. Had an overall good experience, save for some terrible outlier fans (instigated fights, ran into visitor sections to start things, left trash on USM fans vehicles/cars keyed).
4. LA Tech - Personally dislike the typewriter design and how the visiting team has to walk down a staircase to the field. But the atmosphere was great both times. First visit was all around great. Fans were welcoming with good healthy back and forth. Second visit was the exact opposite. They sold tickets to visiting fans behind the student section, and that never turns out well.
