RE: Construction progress on the IPF/Bubble
Grungy posted a photo on Facebook about a week ago that showed fencing around the infield of the Beer Bike track. So someone is thinking something might start. This Spring? In time to conflict with Beer Bike activities? I get that football may want an alternate place to practice during spring storms, but this is going to be interesting.

I hope that somebody is really on top of this as if this somehow screws up Beer Bike-that will be the last shovel of dirt on the coffin that is student interest in athletics. They have 8 weeks......

It shouldn't be hard at all to deflate the bubble once a year, or just move Beer Bike to the track stadium altogether.

Rice students don't care anything about athletics because the product is always bad, and because we play in a terrible conference with no regional, like-minded universities or state schools.

I don't think that this will happen. But, if it did happen or has even been suggested, why are we wasting money on a bubble when we could build a proper IPF?

We couldn’t build a permanent structure because we didn’t donate enough money for that.
