CBSSN which is broadcasting our first four games pulled their content off DirecTV early this morning. Hopefully the conferences that have cut broadcast deals with CBSSN will put pressure on both sides to get a deal done.

I can't believe DirecTV will go without CBS for too long. But we tend to get CBS All Access for the summer anyway (sorry to admit but we have some Big Brother fans in this household). If it's not back by the fall, I guess we'll just have to keep that service so we can watch the games.

Well that sucks. Hope they get it figured out, soon!

Forced me to check if CBSSN was still on my local cable (Spectrum). Still there today, but, of course, no ATT SportsNet, so no Astros, Rockets, etc., unless the Stros are playing the Rangers. I get all the Fox Sports SW I can stand.

I did receive an interesting survey from the Astros this week. The questions seemed somewhat targeted to the possibility of a streaming service. I hope that is the case.

Of course, MLB Network blacks out all Astros games, evidently everywhere in Texas. Who knew New Braunfels was "in market" for Houston?

The territorial rights for MLB are brutal. MLB at Bat is great but those pesky MLB rights can cause problems for it too.

I use ESPN, MLB at Bat and Sirius XM to follow the games depending on where I am, what else is going on, etc. But still no live broadcast, unless they’re on playing the Rangers or are on a national broadcast. And the Astros have not played well on ESPN broadcasts it seems.

Just heard on the Rangers broadcast DISH Network and Sling TV had dropped the Rangers broadcasts on Fox Sports SW. I guess it’s negotiation season.

Settled for AT&T and DirecTV.
