One of the featured young men (Kailon Davis) is now at Arkansas State. Did any other Sun Belt programs get one of these guys from Indy? Haven't finished watching yet so honestly do not know.

One of the QBs is a walk-on at TXST. Chase Hildreth I think is his name.

This made me LOL. I've been noticing how stAte is heavy with JUCOs. Jason Brown sends all the wrong messages to his players. Terrible coach.

In today's world most division 1 teams have multiple juco and transfers on the roster. We were at 48 scholarship when Anderson took over because of the coaching turnover. Most of Gus's recruit never made it or left following his departure. We are slowly getting more high school kids but remember Arkansas isn't a big pool to pull from either.

This is BS BA narrative. How many years does it take to get to 85? Was that 48 number inclusive of the incoming class?

It depends on how competitive you want to be.

Can only sign 25 a year, I believe. So if you were that low, it could take a couple years to get those numbers up.

???
You haven't been FBS 10 years. We haven't been FBS 10 years yet.
FCS scholarship limit is 63 that can be divided between (a max of) 85 players. FBS is 85 full scholarships; which is what we are talking.

In the current environment of transfers, 25 is too low. Signing limit should be at least thirty if we even want to have a cap at all.

If Joe Walkon comes in and does a great job and does enough to earn a scholarship as a freshman, he's probably SOL on getting that ride as a sophomore because he's going to count against the 25. Let him take out loans for another year and put him on scholarship for his third year and he doesn't count against the 25, only the 85.

I believe that rule was changed this year and now walk-ons can go on scholarship after one season and not count as an initial 25 offer.

When App moved up to FBS, we signed and announced 27 players on Signing Day. Four of them were already enrolled early. So I believe there are ways around the rule.

Not everyone announced on signing day is getting a ride. Blue shirts count against the next year but that reduces the 25 available for that coming year.

I saw a tweet saying something along the lines of him being ineligible due to low grades or something. Could be back on the team if his summer classes went well. Even if he get's back on the team he won't be a factor at all judging by what I've seen on the show.

You can have mid-term transfers (Juco's) that count back if there was room from the previous class.

Yeah he definitely won't be a factor. if he gets his grades up he'll be competing for a scout team spot.

We have 3 QBs with a legitimate shot at playing time at this point. Jensen, Vitt, and Gipson.
