The bulk of the remaining work is finishing up the inside areas -- concessions, restrooms, etc. I would estimate the total project is somewhere around 97% complete. I figured every seat was chairback. Thought the stadium was kept small for luxury purposes? 05-stirthepot

Technically, most seats in the stadium do have a back 03-wink

Whether it's a chairback or a benchback**

RE: ODU'S NEW STADIUM - COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
Went for a quick tour of the stadium. Man it is a first class facility. The sight lines are going to be great. I am so looking forward to this season. Watching football in comfort? It's simply a dream come true. Let's see if Coach Wilder can turn this new stadium into a recruiting advantage. After all that will be the sign of the stadiums success. I'm hoping for a real home field advantage. Stadiums all over the country are down sizing in favor of fan amenities. You got to get people away from their 65-inch flat screens somehow.

At the University of South Alabama, a 25,000 seat on-campus stadium is under construction and will be ready by Sept.12, 2020 for a game with Jackson State. The Jaguars have been playing their home games at 68-year old Ladd Peebles Stadium (40,000) for the first 10 years since the program was founded. Below is a webcam of the construction site.

ODU'S NEW STADIUM - COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
An article by someone not affiliated by the University. Some of the quotes by our AD demonstrates how badly we needed this upgrade.

"ODU football lived with Foreman Field for 10 seasons, and no one escaped the substandard conditions. Athletes, coaches, spectators and, yes, media suffered — the radio and television facilities would have appalled Marconi and Murrow.

“It was everything,” Selig said of complaints about Foreman. “‘No rest rooms; no concessions; the seats are uncomfortable; my knees are in somebody’s back; someone else’s knees are in my back.’ … The lighting was atrocious. The scoreboard was awful. Other than that, it was a great venue.”

"We want to be your outdoor living room. We’ve got to get you out of your house and to S.B. Ballard Stadium. That’s why the concessions are branded with seafood — crab cakes and shrimp — and Italian and Mexican. If we can’t give you something at least comparable or better than what you’re going to get at home, then we’re not going to get you.”

"they are elevated 6 feet, allowing folks in the lower sections to see over players standing in the bench area. And because the running track that surrounded Foreman Field is no more, the stands are 7-10 yards closer to the field."

Sounds like whoever this is has never been to the old stadium.

RE: ODU'S NEW STADIUM - COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
Seriously looks nice guys. Honestly looks much bigger than 22k seats if you ask me.

I'm happy for ODU and glad to have you all in this conference.

Biggest question is will Wilder be around long enough to see if he can use this as a recruiting advantage? My guess is Wilder will be gone after this season.
