I’ll be glad when USM plays there again. Was at last game, but would like to see a night game in new stadium.

Come on over may be next year if stars align. The last game we played was a weird one for sure. I forgot the kids name, the QB you broke in for our game, he was a very good running threat but couldn't protect the FB for his life's sake. That was a turn over fest by USM and our offense did not click at all.

RE: ODU'S NEW STADIUM - COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
I appreciate the other fanbases' concern over the capacity of our stadium. It was a fiercely debated topic on the ODU boards not long ago. While I agree that we should have gone to at least 25K, the facility that we will put in place gives ODU a top tier quality stadium with the ability to grow to fit the needs of the burgeoning football program.

Unlike UTSA's basketball arena. 03-puke

Keon Howard. He transferred to Tulane start of last season. Yeah, sometimes those high rated 3 star athletes don't pan out.

He was a good athlete but couldn't hold on to the ball. Or throw it. Might have made a good safety or cornerback.

See also: Shuler Bentley, who entered a three-star recruit and expected next great ODU QB but who left more like Shuler '82 Ford Escort.

To get back on track - here's a look at the concession offerings at the new stadium. Crab cake sandwich, fried shrimp baskets, build your own nachos. Hope it's as good as they make it sound.

Also vegetarian and vegan options. Not that I will be visiting that one but I'm sure plenty of people will.

I'm kind of disappointed tbh. It's good that there's more choices but it still seems like it'll be mostly Aramark so that's a rate limiter. Get a couple more local options in there. Bring on Handsome Biscuit!

I personally think the stadium is great looking and the concession overhaul sound excellent. I just wish you guys would have gone ahead and built to 30k.

Constrained by governmental and monetary concerns. The original plan was 35K minimum and on the river. The latter wasn't feasible for a multitude of reasons, and having to build over the original stadium made the former very difficult even if they money was there.

Both reasons make sense.

This does a good job demonstrating the difference between the old and new field turfs.

RE: ODU'S NEW STADIUM - COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
I saw where there will be crab cakes and think it would be great to have a seafood station. Is it anything like that?

My favorite ballgame food at Western is a Big Red Skillet and White Chocolate Peach Cobbler. Steamer Seafood Kitchen is based in Hilton Head, and owned by a Western alumni. He opened a station for football and basketball at Western and its some good eating. He also opened a restaurant in BG.

Big Red Skillet
- Jumbo Fried Shrimp
- Chicken Tender Basket
- Kickin' Crab Fries
- Jambalya
- French Quarter (NEW ITEM)
- Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding
- White Chocolate Peach Cobbler

Something like that should go over well at ODU with all of the local seafood and a lot fresher items

During the oyster bowl the shriners always have a tent where they fry oysters. I wish they had that year round.

I got a feeling no one is going to touch the new food, opting instead for the usual popcorn, nachos, funnel cakes and drink.

That food ain't gonna be cheap.

You guys do it right. The jury is out on how we’ll compare - guessing we’ll be a distant second.
