AOC Nobody is ‘heartbroken’ at the prospect of losing private health insurance
Quote:Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said on Wednesday nobody is "heartbroken" by the prospect of losing their private health insurance if Medicare for All were to be implemented.

Her comments were first reported by Bloomberg's Sahil Kapur.

"@AOC, asked about warnings from Joe Biden on Medicare for All, says nobody is ‘heartbroken' at the idea of losing private insurance. ‘People like their health care, they like their doctor,' she says. ‘But I’d be interested in what the public polling on Aetna would look like,'" Kapur tweeted.

Earlier this week, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., estimated his Medicare for All proposal would cost up to $40 trillion over 10 years. Sanders has also said he would raise taxes, including for the middle class, to pay for Medicare for All, and that "there will be pain" in a transition to a single-payer system.

Former Vice President Joe Biden's healthcare plan, released on Monday, does not go as far as Medicare for All. His proposal includes a public option to buy into a Medicare-like plan and wouldn't eliminate private health insurance.

Yea, Sloe. We’ve heard about your big fvcking “deal” before.

You and zerO where right on one thing, it was definitely a big fvcking.

Why else are we revisiting this monumental fvcking disaster yet again, already?

So, put all members of congress and their staff on Medicaid, let them trial run it for a few years, and lets see if they are heartbroken or not.

2. $40 trillion over 10 years is $4 trillion which all but doubles the Federal government expenditures.........wonder how everyone in the country will like having their taxes DOUBLED to pay for it........

3. I don't like Biden, but at least he's not a communist.

She didn't question me...because I would be. I'm 35 and my wife of 10 years has been sick our entire marriage. Chronic illnesses that have called for hundreds of ER trips and well over 10 surgeries....since I was 25. I learned health care at a much earlier age than most of my peers. Insurance is incredibly important to me....and I don't really believe government is the solution.

No, but he’s inching closer, and being pushed further that way every single day.

“Chinese aren’t bad folks, folks.” I mean hell, they gave my Cokehead son a billion and a half just for showing up!

Someone should inform her that those polls do in fact exist. They look a lot like her and omar's approval ratings among moderates in swing states.

She's so dumb.

Quote:A new poll finds that about only one in 10 registered voters want the equivalent of Medicare for all if it means abolishing private health insurance plans.

Interesting, I would have thought somewhat higher, and Sloe told us we could "keep our plan", too.

I wonder, is there, or has there been any polling on the across the board promise of free health insurance for all illegals by all the dim candidates yet?

Damn, I remember you talking about your wife's health issues many years ago. I am truly sorry to hear that she is still not well. Prayers for you guys and may God bless and strengthen you both.

I daresay that should we ever transition to single payer that her, and everyone's, quality of care will decline. Ask any Brit or Canadian...

If we learned one thing in the last 10 years it's that facts don't matter as long as one keeps spinning the narrative and convincing low info voters. The yellow dogs will take care of themselves and require no spin while such blue dogs as still exits will be marginalized by their own party.

As far as I'm concerned, she's right - I won't be heartbroken. I'll be angry as ****.
