Since 2015, the Tigers have hosted nine games before noon and have won them all, including games with UCLA, Houston and Kansas.

This is absolutely STUPID!! IMHO. I am 69 years old, have medical conditions, bought my season tickets again (for about the 45th time), and will miss this game, and maybe Ole Miss depending on how hot it is. Good Grief!!

I am pissed!!

RE: Another 11 am kickoff..
I am probably the only person that is glad about the kickoff time. I am driving up from New Orleans on that Friday evening, so with an 11am kick off, I can get back to N.O. after the game instead of having to spend another night at my sister's house. I love my nephews, but those lil jokers don't know when Uncle is tired and don't wanna play no mo...

I actually schedule my vacations around the home games. Get back from the beach the week before the season opener v. Ole Miss.

As opposed to a 2:30 game?

You realize the hottest part of the day is between 3 and 4 pm.

You want to be in the middle of a game at 4 pm, tailgaiting on concrete ass Tiger Lane at 4 pm, or at home (after an 11 am game) at 4 pm?

Because the only option of those three that keeps you away from the LB during the HOTTEST part of the day is the 11 am kickoff.

You people would find fault with a $100 bill.

RE: Another 11 am kickoff..
I don't know why y'all are complaining about this. One of the most anticipating college football games will be on that night. If this was a night game, then people will skip the Memphis and watch the LSU/Texas game. I'm actually glad this is an 11 AM just so we can go ahead and get this over with. Also, Clemson plays Texas A&M at 2:30 as well.

What, the 6:00 P.M. slot is not available? And a later time means at least some of the seats are shaded (on the west side, which is the fuller of the two sides), ergo, the heat is not as much of a factor.

Ok, but if one is tailgaiting from, say 2 to 5, that means that person will be standing around during the hottest part of the day. And much of the tailgait area is around hot ass concrete, so there isn't much relief at all.

Tailgaiting during the SIU game was brutal in 2017 and was even worse last year for the UConn game.

Maybe it will rain that day so it will be cooler. Oh wait a minute. Our fair weather fans don't go when it rains either. In November they will complain that it is to cold to go to games at night. It is a no win situation for our fair weather fans. See you true fans at the game on the Sept. 7th rain or shine. For the fans that have medical conditions I do understand your complaints but the administration can't please everybody.

Agreed that the concrete and asphalt are problematic, but still, the later the game time, the less impact the heat has on the overall attendance, and those actually in attendance. In addition a significant percentage of the fans do not tail gate, but simply come to the game.

An 11:00 a.m. game against a FCS school will simply lose a great number of people who would otherwise attend the game.
