Matt Deggs is new Cajun Skipper!
Former Cajun Assistant and current Sam Houston Head Coach Matt Deggs will be introduced as the Cajuns new head Baseball Coach at an 11:00 AM press conference Thursday morning at Russo Park.

Considering the unfortunate circumstances surrounding this hire, this is a GREAT hire as Matt will be a link between the past and future.

Four straight seasons of either a tournament championship or RS title at SHSU. Nice. Seems he was probably the obvious choice.

A lot of Texas State fans were talking about him when our spot was open. Lazy Larry went the easy route and hired within. Deggs would have been a great hire and will be for y'all too.

Cannizzaro is a POS, there is a reason he is a HS Coach and not at a collegiate program any longer.
