As a group, we have 9 total victories.

West
2014 : LaTech over Illinois (6-7)
2016 : USM over Kentucky (7-6)
2017 : UTSA over Baylor (1-11)
2018 : UNT over Arkansas (2-10)

East:
2015 : Marshall over Purdue (2-10)
2015 : WKU over Vanderbilt (4-8)
2016 : MTSU over Missouri (4-8)
2017 : MTSU over Syracuse (4-8)
2018 : ODU over VA Tech (6-7)

If our conference commissioner will stop giving away our P5 bowl matchups we can probably increase this total. It is hard to beat them on their field, with their referees, etc. A neutral matchup is a bit easier.

I think that in the future we'll see fewer and fewer bowl games pitting P5 teams vs G5 teams. The P5 intends to expand the chasm between themselves and us and they don't want to have to deal with embarrassing bowl losses to G5 teams.

It's about selling tickets. How many of us are excited to play a G5 team? What makes you think a P5 school would be?
