Mijke Roelfsema - a defender from the Netherlands and Boston College where she was a starter for a top-16 national team. Plenty of international experience too. She can play right away and has two years of eligibility.

Our CEVE department has developed a rather close relationship with the Netherlands over the last 5 years or so, specifically TU Delft (a bike ride away from The Hague). If she's a CEVE she might be able to sneak in a free trip home while she's here.

My twin brother just got to Hague today and is there for the next week for the World Scholar Cup. Small world.

If he has time, the Escher museum is really enjoyable and worth the admission price. And taking a train or bike to Delft to see the old church and have an ice cream while strolling through the canals is also another worthwhile trip.

The Netherlands, and then Boston to Houston? Woe; pre-season practice in August here is going to be rough on her (but she will love it, come November).

It was hotter today in The Hague (94 roughly) than Houston today (89 I think?). Europe is in the midst of its second serious heat wave in less than a month. Let's recruit more Europeans to Houston!
