Healthcare Trump's achilles heel
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...healthcare
Healthcare pushed Dems over the top in the house in 2018. Article overstates the popularity of Obamacare, much like Obamacare, attacks the wrong problem. It wasn't lack of health insurance. But the article does hit on an underlying truth. People are nervous about being able to afford healthcare. The Republicans have no plans and no consensus about what to do. The Democrats have many plans, most of which would make things much worse. But they at least have some idea of what they would try to do.

There's no need to talk about republican plans at the moment because it can never compare to "MUH FREE SH*T" that the libturds are proposing.
Its best to simply allow Obamacare to die because it was unconstitutional, go back to the old way, and then both sides can work on a new way.

Sure wish someone would have spoken up...

It was designed to fail, so they then could go to total control single payer, but Trump ruined it.

And that's the approach that scares a lot of people.

Either get rid of Obamacare, or force every american onto Obamacare. I'm good either way, cause I know change will be coming.

RE: Healthcare Trump's achilles heel
There is no political gain to be made for Republicans because any realistic plans they make that include the desires of the electorate will have direct costs attached to them. The Democrats, almost all of whom back plans that have very high indirect costs associated with them or else, as in the case of Berniecare, outright lie about the costs, will simply shout “free, free, free!” to the heavens and the Republicans will lose a political fight before they ever get a chance to fight it.
The smart plan from a political standpoint is to let the Democrats back themselves into a corner over the issue by letting their army of candidates turn the election into a referendum on healthcare. Then, with a Republican controlled congress and president (or so the thinking will go), implement changes to the system one by one over time.
The way you kill the single payer is with a thousand discrete cuts, not with a guillotine approach that only serves to make you look like the bad guy.
