Yesterday was at park playing basketball and at other end of court a guy asks me take his group's photo as they were from out of town. I told them I would except for that guy in the Toledo rockets tshirt.
He says they are all from Toledo. I start laughing and tell him I'm an NIU guy and he says you guys win every year. I agreed and said that you guys don't think we have a rivalry. Toledo's guys said we did have a rivalry.
I took the photo.

Who cares, NIU is always on top at end of season. We are the Rodney Dangerfield of MAC football.

CMU got a first place vote? Is that a joke? Or someone trying to alter the voting results?

Thanks for putting this together.
This shows that in the last 10 years (from 2009 -2018): NIU has never finished lower that the preseason prediction; all 3 times we were picked to finish 1st we did; and 4 times out of 10 we finished 1st when picked to finish 2nd or 3rd.

RE: MAC media day July 23
Huskies do have history of being snubbed with this poll but preseason 3 is probably where they belong right now. On paper , UT and WMU just have better rosters and more talent. They both have a settled QB position also. The gap obviously not so large that a West crown is impossible. I really think this year NIU is going to have to treat the non conf slightly different. It may be more of a preseason for them. Not saying you do not play to win, but I think it is a different mindset this year with that portion of the schedule

Saying NIU has a shot at the West title after losing Sutton Smith, most of of offensive line, new coach, new offense, and maybe a new QB...that is not a half full glass?
